I heard that a large percentage of your food intake goes into keeping your body at the right temperature. Does that mean if you lived at exactly 37C (100F I believe) you wouldn't have to eat as much, and that people who live in arctic temperature have to eat a lot more?

Yesterday when I reached my destination with my car I noticed I was carrying a bee in it the whole time(I had the windows closed).Could this bee survive hundreds of miles away from its nest or is it doomed to die?Any chances it could be "adopted" by another nest?
